OUR APPROACH
Travel should not become harder with age; it should simply be planned differently. A long walk at the airport, a bathroom with a step, a dinner reservation at ten in the evening, a car that sits too low: individually small, together they decide whether a trip is a pleasure or an ordeal.
We plan senior travel the way a thoughtful family member would. We check every room before we propose it, arrange assistance before anyone asks for it, and keep the family informed throughout, so that the traveller can simply enjoy being there.

- Airport assistance
- Assistance for passengers with reduced mobility is free of charge at EU airports and is best requested at least 48 hours before travel. We request it with the airline, add private meet & greet, fast track where available and buggies, and keep a chauffeur waiting at the kerb.
- The right room
- Step-free access, lifts, walk-in showers, grab rails, a bed at the right height and a quiet floor close to the lift. We confirm the details with the hotel in writing, not from photographs.
- A gentler pace
- Later starts, fewer transfers, direct flights where possible, rest between plans and restaurants with easy access and early tables.
- Mobility equipment
- Wheelchairs, scooters, shower chairs and hospital beds hired locally and delivered before arrival, so nothing needs to travel.
- Medical support
- Travel nurses and medical escorts through licensed providers, doctors on call who speak the traveller’s language, and the nearest hospitals and pharmacies noted for every stay.
- Medication & documents
- Medication schedules adjusted for time zones, prescriptions and letters prepared for travel, and copies of key documents kept safely for the family.
- Companions
- A trusted companion or carer for the journey, introduced through registered agencies, for travellers who would rather not travel alone.
- Travel insurance
- Introductions to specialist brokers for travellers with pre-existing conditions, so the right cover is in place before departure.

ATLAS MAISON is not a medical, nursing or childcare provider. Carers, nannies, nurses and medical escorts are engaged through registered agencies and licensed providers, who contract with you directly and are responsible for their services. We plan, introduce and coordinate.

Can you arrange wheelchair assistance at the airport?

Can a nurse or medical escort travel with my parent?
Yes. We introduce travel nurses and medical escorts from licensed providers, who contract with you directly. We coordinate their travel, briefings and timings.
How do you choose hotels for older travellers?
We confirm step-free access, lifts, bathrooms, bed heights and distances in writing with each hotel, and propose only rooms that meet the traveller’s needs.
Can you help an elderly parent travel alone to visit family?
Yes. We arrange door-to-door assistance, a companion if wished, and keep the family updated from departure to arrival.
Do you give medical advice?
No. Medical advice comes from the traveller’s own doctors and the licensed professionals we introduce. We take care of the arrangements around it.
