TEFAF Maastricht is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading fairs for fine art, antiques and design. Each March it brings around 260 dealers from some 20 countries to the MECC exhibition centre in Maastricht, presenting works that span roughly 7,000 years, from classical antiquities and Old Master paintings to modern art, jewellery and twentieth-century design.

Why collectors trust it

The fair is known for its rigorous vetting: expert committees examine works for authenticity, condition and provenance before the fair opens. Alongside the main sections, TEFAF Showcase highlights emerging dealers and the Focus section presents curated, single-theme displays.

Planning a visit

The 2027 fair runs from 14 to 18 March 2027, preceded by invitation-only preview days. Maastricht is a small, historic city, so hotels fill quickly during fair week. Many visitors stay in Maastricht itself, while others base themselves in Brussels, Amsterdam or Liège and travel in by car.
