Next week the global television and streaming industry gathers on the Croisette. From Monday 12 to Thursday 15 October 2026, the 42nd MIPCOM fills the Palais des Festivals with commissioners, buyers, distributors, producers and platform executives from around the world, and Cannes changes pace for four days.

For anyone attending, the market itself is the easy part: the stands, screenings and conference sessions are organised for you. Everything around it is not. Rooms within walking distance of the Palais, a car between meetings, a quiet table for a dinner that matters, a suite or a yacht for a private conversation, and the arrival at Nice after an early flight. This guide sets out what to expect and how ATLAS MAISON can take that work off your hands.

What MIPCOM is, and who goes

MIPCOM describes itself as the world’s leading market for audiovisual content: the place where series, formats, documentaries, animation and films are created, co-produced, bought, sold, financed and distributed for every platform. It is organised by RX France and held every autumn at the Palais des Festivals, the same building that hosts the Cannes Film Festival in May.

The people who attend are decision-makers. Broadcasters and streamers come to commission and acquire; studios and distributors come to sell catalogues and launch new titles; producers come to find partners and finance. Delegations travel from Europe, North America, the Gulf, Türkiye, Asia and Latin America, and many companies run their own stands, screenings and receptions. For a few days, a great deal of the industry’s year is decided within a few hundred metres of the Croisette.

MIPJunior, the dedicated market for children’s and family content, takes place immediately before MIPCOM, so many delegates arrive over the weekend and stay through to Thursday.

The rhythm of the week

Every company plans its own schedule, but MIPCOM week tends to follow a familiar pattern:

  • The weekend before: MIPJunior delegates and early arrivals; stands are built; the first dinners and informal meetings.
  • Monday 12 October: the market opens at 09:00. Expect queues for badges and the busiest traffic on the Croisette.
  • Tuesday and Wednesday: the core of the market. Diaries run in back-to-back half-hour meetings, with lunches, receptions and parties in the evening.
  • Thursday 15 October: final meetings and departures. Many delegates fly out on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning, so flights and transfers book up.

The official conference programme, screening schedule and opening hours are published by the organiser on mipcom.com. Always check there before you finalise your diary.

Where to stay during MIPCOM

Location decides the quality of your week. When your diary is full of thirty-minute meetings, a hotel five minutes’ walk from the Palais is worth a great deal more than a beautiful view half an hour away.

On the Croisette

The grand hotels facing the sea, among them the Carlton, the Martinez, the Majestic Barrière and the JW Marriott, are a short walk from the Palais and are where many companies hold meetings in suites and lounges. They are also the first to fill. Minimum stays and advance payment conditions are common during MIPCOM.

Le Suquet, the rue d’Antibes and the town centre

Smaller boutique hotels and serviced apartments in the centre of Cannes keep you within walking distance at a calmer pace. A good choice for those who prefer independence and a short walk to dinner.

Cap d’Antibes, Mougins and the hills

For senior delegates who want privacy and space, a villa or a hotel on the Cap d’Antibes or in the hills above Cannes offers quiet evenings and room to host. The trade-off is the journey: allow for traffic in and out of Cannes at peak times, and plan on a car with a driver rather than taxis.

We research and compare options against your requirements, then you book and pay the hotel or villa directly. We confirm the details and follow up with the property before you arrive.

Meetings away from the stand

Some conversations do not belong on a crowded market floor. During MIPCOM, companies use a range of spaces for private meetings, signings and small presentations:

  • Hotel suites and private lounges on the Croisette, booked by the day or for the week.
  • Private dining rooms for working lunches and dinners with partners.
  • Yachts moored in Cannes, used as floating meeting rooms and hospitality spaces. Charters are arranged through licensed yacht brokers, and berths close to the Palais are in high demand.
  • Beach restaurants and terraces for more informal meetings in the October sun.
  • Villas for company dinners, receptions and off-site presentations.

We find suitable spaces, check availability, capacity, catering and technical needs, and coordinate the arrangements with the provider you choose.

Getting there and around

By air

Nice Côte d’Azur is the main gateway, with direct flights from across Europe and long-haul connections. Cannes is about 27 km away: typically 30 to 45 minutes by road, and longer at peak hours during the market. Cannes-Mandelieu airport, a few minutes from the town, handles private and business aviation. Helicopter transfers between Nice and Cannes take only minutes and are arranged through licensed operators.

Airport meet & greet

After an early flight, a personal welcome at Nice, with help through the terminal and a driver waiting outside, makes the start of a long week calmer. See our airport meet & greet service.

During the week

The Croisette is busy throughout MIPCOM, and taxis are scarce at the moments you need them most: the end of the day and after evening events. Many delegates keep a car with a driver on standby between meetings, dinners and their hotel. By train, Nice and Cannes are connected directly along the coast.

October weather

Mid-October in Cannes is usually mild and often sunny, with daytime temperatures around 20°C and cooler evenings. A light jacket for terraces and the walk between receptions is enough for most days.

Dinners and evenings

Evenings at MIPCOM are part of the business. Company dinners, receptions and parties run every night from Sunday to Wednesday, and the restaurants of Cannes, Le Suquet, the Croisette, Antibes and Mougins are fully booked well in advance.

If a dinner matters, for a new partner, a signing or a team, we research and secure the right table early: the setting, the level of privacy, the menu, dietary requirements and a car to take your guests home. For larger groups we can source private rooms, a villa or an evening on a yacht through the relevant providers.

For delegations, companies and teams

Companies attending MIPCOM often need more than one person’s travel organised. Our business concierge coordinates the logistics around a delegation:

  • Researching rooms for a team close to the Palais and following up with the hotels
  • Group airport transfers and chauffeurs for the week
  • Meeting suites, private dining and reception venues
  • Hospitality evenings for clients and partners
  • Couriers, printing and deliveries to your hotel or meeting space
  • Temporary staff, hosts and interpreters through licensed agencies

Fees for business concierge work are agreed after an initial consultation, so you know the cost before anything begins.

Arriving next week? What can still be arranged

With the market only days away, we will be honest: rooms on the Croisette are scarce, and the best-known restaurants are largely committed. A great deal can still be done well, however:

  • Alternatives in Cannes, Antibes or the hills, with a car to make the distance easy
  • Chauffeurs and airport meet & greet at Nice
  • Dinner reservations beyond the most obvious addresses
  • Meeting spaces, private rooms and yacht enquiries through licensed brokers
  • Recovery from a cancelled booking or a change of plans during the week

Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and what you need. We reply within two hours between 08:00 and 22:00 UK time.

After the market: a day on the Riviera

Many delegates stay on for a day or a weekend. Some ideas for the time after Thursday:

  • The Lérins Islands: a short boat ride from Cannes to Sainte-Marguerite and the monastery island of Saint-Honorat.
  • Antibes and the Cap: the old town, the Picasso Museum and lunch by the water.
  • Saint-Paul-de-Vence and Mougins: art, galleries and long lunches in the hills.
  • Monaco: about an hour by road along the coast, or minutes by helicopter.
  • The autumn art season: Frieze London (14–18 October) overlaps with the market, and Art Basel Paris follows from 23 to 25 October. See our guide to the autumn art fairs.

A four-day MIPCOM plan, illustrated

An illustrative example of how we might organise a delegate’s week, not a client story.

  1. Sunday: arrival. Meet & greet at Nice, car to the hotel, badge collection details checked, a quiet dinner in Le Suquet.
  2. Monday: opening day. Driver on standby from 08:30; lunch table near the Palais; a suite reserved for afternoon meetings; dinner for six with a new partner.
  3. Tuesday and Wednesday: the core of the market. Meetings on the stand and in the suite; a reception on a chartered yacht arranged through a licensed broker; cars home after evening events.
  4. Thursday: closing and departure. Final meetings, luggage collected from the hotel, transfer to Nice or Cannes-Mandelieu, or an extra night on the Cap d’Antibes.

The MIPCOM delegate checklist

  • Arrange transfers from Nice and a driver for evening events
  • Reserve meeting space away from the stand if you need privacy
  • Book important dinners early, with dietary requirements noted
  • Keep all confirmations, addresses and contacts in one itinerary
  • Plan a free morning or day after the market, if you can
