WHERE TO STAY

Hotel, villa or serviced apartment: which suits your stay?

The right accommodation depends on how you want to spend your time. How to compare the three.

The right accommodation depends on how you want to spend your time. An impressive property is only a good choice if it works for your daily routine.

Before comparing individual addresses, consider the type of stay you need.

A hotel: convenience and service

A hotel may suit a shorter visit when you value on-site assistance, housekeeping and dining options.

Check the details that affect comfort: room layout, connecting-room availability, breakfast arrangements and the location of your room within the property. Facilities and service levels vary, even within the same category.

A villa: space and privacy

A villa may appeal when you want shared living areas, outdoor space and greater independence.

Clarify what the rental includes. Housekeeping, groceries, pool heating and other services may carry additional charges. Ask who responds if something needs attention during your stay.

For families, review stairs, pool access and the layout carefully rather than relying on photographs alone.

A serviced apartment: a more independent routine

A serviced apartment can be useful when a kitchen, laundry facilities or separate living space matters.

The word “serviced” can cover different arrangements. Confirm housekeeping frequency, reception availability and any minimum-stay conditions.

Compare the complete stay

Look beyond the nightly rate. Consider deposits, cleaning fees, cancellation terms, transport requirements and the time needed to reach the places you will visit.

A beautiful location may be less convenient than it first appears.

Start with your non-negotiables

Write down your three most important requirements before searching. They might be walkability, separate bedrooms and daily housekeeping, or privacy, outdoor space and room to host family.

ATLAS MAISON can help organise those priorities and research suitable options, so your shortlist reflects how you actually want to live during your stay.
